The following is a translation of what a Norwegian Association agains drugaddiction (Nat i Norge)wrote to Narconon:

In the association against drugaddiction we are very engaged in being able to help relatives and their drugaddicted child. With more than 15 years experince with in the drugproblematic and the last 3 years as manager of Natt i Norge I have expirenced who much the relatives and drugaddicted hurts. When the motivation is there the offer most be there not as today with 3-6 month waiting in line for a rehabilitation offer.
This year we have a project called "night in Norway" which works with motivation interviews with relatives and drugaddicts to make the addict go into rehabilitation, aftercare, school or get a job. With this project I travled around and visited different rehabilitation centers in Norway and then I began to look around in Scandinavia also.I came in contact with Narconon in Denmark and wanted to visit them. I got a very positiv responce and desided to go there and stay for a week. I expirenced a rehabilitation center build on seriousity, care, motivation and study for those who was in treatment there. Just the fact that everybody were together about everything the students, the staffs and the management was very uniqe and I saw that it helped the students. Just the week I was here I saw very good results and it is not often I have seen that during my visits at other rehabilitationcenters.
I began to work very serious toward getting addicts motivated to go into rehabilitation and we have now had a couple of persons at Narconon and till now with a very good result. The relatives are very happy and one of the parents told me that the son had been in rehab 5 times and one time outside the contry without result and with a duration of only 4 weeks. At Narconon he has stayed much longer, he is happy and he can see that the care and treatment he gets there is really something he can work with and benefit from.
We have presented this for the Local County and the County and it is something they would like to serious take up and suggest to a higer level County. They also think that the offer should be there as soon as the need is there.
